| New Exhaust System
Beginning from the rear of the headers on the Alpina (with a non Alpina where space exists for meaningful design improvement, beginning with the headers), the first test pieces of the new exhaust system -- better flow, better sound and weight reduction of 70+ pounds (31.75+ kg). Note that pieces are only temporaily welded and that certain test fit sections will become continuous 321 stainless steel tubing in final version of system. Also: (1) new lightweight exhaust system hangers not yet in evidence and (2) rear subframe mounted black steel "washers/hangers" have been replaced with aluminum pieces as they will no longer be required as exhaust hangers. |
