Richard, this is a common problem, and it not only affecting our Z8. As far as I know a well known cause of this problem is keeping your foot on the brake when your car has aleady come to a complete stop. This will prevent the heat generated during braking to escape and your disc will heat up enormously 'beneath' the brakepad, resulting in deformation of the disc. Kind regards from the Netherlands. E.
