hellere Kofferraumbeleuchtung?

Hallo,

mir ist meine Kofferraumbeleuchtung definitiv zu dunkel. Kann ich da eine andere Glühlampe einsetzen? Wenn ja, was für eine?

Material costs were about 6,- EUR (7,-$), took about 2 hours for installation (which might be due to I want it 110%). The new lamp on the left trunk side is vertically orientated as there is not enough depth (see picture). The new lamp has a plastic cover for the rear side which I equipped with aluminum foil, gives more light than the standard one.

The power supply wires (blue and red) are at the rear of the trunk near tail lights (see picture #3, just below the trunk lock). There are already other wires where I attached them to. I had to remove both tail light covers (see manual, simply turn the lock from vertical to horizontal and pull). Then detach four screws to remove center plastic cover and those two black plastic buttons close to left and right tail light which hold the grey trunk lining -> you need to pull very hard or use a pair of tongs to leverage them out, what I would recommend.

The lights are BMW original but not exactly the same part number as the standard one although the are nearly identical except the new one has this black plastic rear cover (I'm going to order another new one for exchange of the standard one as they give more light when adding aluminum foil for reflection) Here are the part numbers:

for Germany:
light: 6331 6 931 546
plug: 6113 6 925 634
contacts: 6113 1 383 776
I received 10 contacts as they don't sell them separately, you need two for the green plug.

for US:
The light part # is 63 31 6 902 911. It's called a courtesy light and is identical to the trunk light. The contact part # is 61 13 0 005 197. This is for ONE contact with wire. BMW still can't say what the part # is for the plug. These are USA numbers. Cost for light assembly $3.65. Get a portable phone battery plug and you don't need the contact.

The red yellow wire from the org power supply is +12V

Remember to remove the minus from battery before you start working on the wiring as trunk light always has power!

Eine andere Glühlampe würde ich nicht einsetzen, diese könnte durch die höhere Temperatur das Kunststoffglas zum schmelzen bringen, wenn man mal den Kofferraum etwas länger offen stehen lässt.
