Ich bin neu zu ihrem forum. Es sieht ja gut aus.
Mein deutsch ist leider schlecht.
Ich bin aus Slowenien.
Suche Z3 facelift 2,0 oder 2,2.
Diese wochenende bin ich in Deutschland.

Schwartz, Silber, Blau...
Klima, ASC+T, sperdiff ist gut wenn da, leder und schone alus.

Damn, it's hard to write in deutsch, here goes:

I prefer the car to be in black, silver or blue.
The red one's are out of the question.
The car must have:
Klima
ASC+T
Windshott
Leder (red if possible, otherwise any bicolor combo, black also)
Not to many km on the clock (up to 100k)
Full history on paper

It would be nice if the car had:
Nice set of alus
Chrome paket without chrome alus
Hardtop
Winterreifen
only one owner before me

Something like this...the color, the equipment, the alus, the leder, all fits...

first of all, welcome to the forum. guess you´ll enjoy it...

why are you only focussing on 2.0/2.2?? the best driving machine (exept the m-version) is surely the 3.0. and pls don´t be afraid of extra costs as they are really marginal. consumption is between 9 and 12 ltrs and insurance is also pretty cheap in germany.

i know what i am talking abt as i own the 3.0 version and would never change to a smaller engine. anyway, i have to sell my beloved zzz; just check the following link and let me hear whether my offer might be of interest for you. price is still subject of negotiation...

I enjoy it allready, just have to get used to a few options and then at least try to write deutsch...
I excuse myself for using the wrong smiley, it really wasn't on purpose...

Now, about the 3,0 engine.

You see, I would gladly buy the M or 3,0 litre version if the finanz minister would allow it. Frankly speaking, I was about to buy myself the Z4, but due to unexpected problems with makeover of our business place, I needed to invest additional half of the money prepared for the car. I hate to use credits and leasing, I prefer cash.
And anyway, the Z3 is at the end a true classic, and as for the Z4 car-I still have time to buy it in years to come.
You see, the registration/insurance in Slovenia is not the same as in Germany.
The difference between the 2,0 and 2,2 is negligiable, but between these two and anything beyond 130kW it becomes nasty... -yes, this time I use the right smiley...
In fact, You pay the same summ for 2,8 3,0 M as for a Ferrari or other supersports car.
And...I am not a runner. I like to drive easy. And I think, the 2,2 is the best option for me.
I surely believe that 3,0 litre car is the best to have - price/performance/endurance, but it is at the moment zu teuer option fur mich...leider...

Still, it is over my budget. You see, after I pay the price to the seller in Germany, I have to add additional (cca 400€) to get the car back home, and then all costs only start...
TUW (yes, do not ask) - at about 200€, eko tax another 200€, then the DMV - tax for vehicles at about 7-9% of the price of a car, and then, finally, we come to the registration point which, with insurance costs about 900€/per year with -50% bonus (which I luckily have) for non kasko insurance and additional 800+€ for kasko - then I am ready to go.
Sounds quite easy doesn't it...

That is why, I am looking for a car at about 16k € as a maximum. Ok, if there was a really, really, really nice car, I would consider to press my limit a bit higher, but this means, immaculate, as new car...

I checked the niederlassungen auch, but the prices there are ...

I hate the second hand dealers, who claim to have a really fine, traumzustand wagen, but then, when You take 500 km in one direction and find out the car is rather a peace of shit, You really are in a bad mood, believe me, did it yesterday and today.

Mein ''favorit'' was stationed in Mettmann and the seller informed me that the car is sold 80 km before Koln...and he knew I was coming to check the car...

Still, I have faith in private owners.

Found a superb 2,0 litre yesterday. But it has no klima...otherwise we wouldn't be talking here...superb condition, first owner, a bit over 20k km, everything of the equipment list, full history papers from the bill on, but...it has no klima. Hardtop included.
15k- €. But we are talking about a new car...

What is Your opinion on klima anyway. A must or not?
If You stand on a sun in a stau, it probably is a must.

But then again, in Slovenia, the stau compared to the Autobahn stau in Germany is like a 5 minute stop.

Ok, to be honest, the tourist travelling from Croatia are having a bad day today...first an accident between Munich and Salzburg, at least 10 km stau, then some road work in Austria just before/after Villach - at least 20 km slow moving traffic jam, and then back at home, slow moving all the way from Karawankentunnel to Ljubljana, where the staus beginn...hopefully, the by pass Autobahn will be finished untill next year.

I really felt sorry for these people...

Back on topic:

It seems I will be looking for a car longer than I thought.
Maybe, just maybe, a few of the cars, whose owners contacted me, including You, will still be available within a weeek, maybe two.
If so, I will be glad to visit all of You guys, talk over the subject and buy one.

But I guess, that won't happen.

So, Your opinion on klima subject?

ok, your explanations sound reasonable - as long as you won´t go down to the 4 cyl. engines.

also intersting to read how much one has to spend for formalities/taxes in foreign countries. that´s typical for ther germans - we are always complaining how bad everything goes so bad here but compared to our neighbour countries we are still pretty cheap... just been to belgium and the netherlands last week, they pay abt 1,49 € for fuel and their taxes are also far higher compared to ours...

anyway, air conditioning is a MUST ! for two reasons:

1. functionality: it is really necessary to have it on board, especially when its raining or during wet weather. without ac u won´t have clear windows and a terrible "stickig" climate inside.

2. value: you will get serious problems by selling a z3 without ac.

Dear Feuchtraum 2,8,

As for the four cylinder motors...I just sold a BMW, fourcylinder...
I was very pleased with the car, but somehow, in time, You just want more...
I promised myself, that the next engine will be a R6. A must.
Considering the roadster, the sound in roadster - a must really...the performance is not an issue here...at least not for me...
And I am really really thinking about buying one of the offered zettis here...


As for formalities:

Check this one out: our country is one and only that requires the verkaufvertrag to be confirmed by notariat in Germany - if You are buying from a person. If You are buying from a firma, then there is no problem, becuse You get the bill.
How to convience a German, to go to the notariat and put a stamp under his signature? Difficult, trust me.
But if I do not have the signature from a seller confirmed, my contract is worth shit and I can not register a car, because it could be stolen...

Otherwise, life in Slovenia is still rather cheap. Except for the real estate. The prices are sky high and climbing...

Must stop.
