Z-Treffen in Wales / UK im September 2005

Guten Tag, zusammen -

um meinen englischen und amerikanischen Freunden entgegenzukommen, die bereitwillig und in nicht zu unterschätzender Anzahl in den Harz kommen, werde ich im September 2005 nach Wales zu einem spannenden Meeting fahren. Das Orga-Team der Engländer ist mächtig auf Zack und überlässt nichts dem Zufall, auch nicht eine rabattierte Unterkunft in einem schlossähnlichen Hotel

Daher an alle Z-Freunde die Frage: wer hat Lust, am Wochenende des 17./18.09.2005 nach Wales zu fahren? Die Koordination für Deutschland übernehme ich auf Bitte und nach Absprache mit den UK´lern - nun ist es an Euch, vielleicht mitzukommen.

Ich fahre auf jeden Fall dahin, die Teilnehmerliste rechtfertigt allemal ein Anfahrt Ich weiß natürlich, dass das arg weit ist, aber wenigstens einmal im Leben wollte ich das Linksfahren probieren. Und wenn das dann noch mit Zettis klappt - umso besser.

WALES II – THE WE WILL ROCK EWE TOUR 2005

Following the huge success of last year with over 30 cars turning up to join in, we’re planning another trip to Wales and hope to see many of you joining us at Wales 2005! If you're a new forum member, don't be shy about signing up, the weekend away is open to everyone (even Porsche owners! wisted: ) and newbies will be very welcome along with the 'old hands'. This is a typical Z4um social, lots of chatting, lots of laughs, lots of driving, a bit of car talk but no 'nerds, anoraks, bores or posers'

Provisional Programme

Saturday 17th September 2005
1.00pm
Travel to the main meeting point at Bayston Hill Services in Shrewsbury. We will be leaving here in small groups (depending on the number of cars) at 2pm but 1pm arrival will give people time for coffee/a break/chat etc!

Drive to Wales - Overview
Drive from Shrewsbury to Llandrindod Wells in Mid Wales, this route will take us along several twisting and mountainous roads passing through loads of great villages and scenery and will include a stop at the other side of Bala Lake this year, click here for a QTVR panorama. Estimated arrival (including a stop at Bala) at the hotel is 5.30pm.

Arrival/Accommodation
Arrive at The Metropole Hotel. The hotel is in the centre of the spa town of Llandrindod Wells and has excellent facilities including a swimming pool and ample car parking. The hotel currently has 35 rooms reserved for Z4um. We've been offered a group rate as follows:
>£55 per person for a double room including 3 course dinner and breakfast (there will be a supplement for single occupancy in a double or twin room of £10).
>£20 upgrade supplement for Tower Suites (with an additional living area).


Booking
To book your room call 01597 823 700 and ask for Reservations or press 2 if you get the automated response. A deposit of £20.00 will be taken which is non refundable although cancellations can be made up to 4pm on the day before arrival without additional charge. You must quote ‘BMW Z4’ to get the reduced rate.

Evening
Dinner will be held in a private room at the hotel and we will be holding a raffle and a pub style quiz to raise funds for the Z4um charity, Born Free. The generosity of members has so far raised almost £350 which has been used to adopt a pack of Wolves facing extinction!

Sunday 18th September 2005
11am

8.30am – 10 am Breakfast

The Big Cruise - 11am
We will be leaving Llandrindod Wells at 11:00 am and heading through some great twisty roads, driving over the Sugar Loaf Pass and cross country to our lunch stop at Builth Wells.

Lunch - Approx 1pm - 2.30pm
We will be having lunch at Caer Beris Manor in Builth Wells.


The Last Leg - 2.30pm
After lunch we will be taking mostly B roads through the countryside to reach our final destination of the Longmynd Hotel at Church Stretton near Shrewsbury at around 4.15pm for refreshments including a traditional afternoon tea for those who want it!

Ich hab "call away" übersetzen lassen ...

"cal la way" von Englisch nach Französisch und dann von Französisch nach Deutsch .... *gg*
