Alpine KCA-620M an Intravee?

AW: Alpine KCA-620M an Intravee?

Hi

klingt sehr verlockend , aber laut Intravee Forum Guru Richard P. :

Yes it does, but the KCA-620m is not a well implemented USB solution. I have one and never use it.

The problems with the KCA-620m include :

  • It takes quite a while for the 620m to analyse the USB device on power up, which it does every time.
  • The 620m completely resets on power up, the previous selection is lost and it starts playing a list or all tracks on the USB device in alphabetical file name order. If you have the tracks numbered for each album (or folder) on the USB device then you get all the track 1's followed by track 10's, 11's, 12's etc. then 2's, 20's etc.
  • There is no support for ID3 tags in the MP3 files, only the file name and folder name.
  • There is no random mode support.
  • You can't search by folder, only select the next or previous.
  • No support for 'large' USB devices, like hard disks, only memory sticks and smaller devices.
  • Generally unpredictable behaviour, frequent lockups and popping noises on start-up.
I'd really not recommend it to anyone. It's a shame, because it could have been a very nice device.

Gruss

BB

Danke, BB!!

Damit ist klar, dass der Aufpreis für den iPod gerechtfertigt ist und es ein KCA-420i sein muß!
