Hi! What exhaust system do you use for z4 3.0si in V5 Class? Is it a stock system or aftermarket?
Thanx

We use a Supersprint exhaust. The manifolds are stock, however, the catalytic converters have been exchanged with 100 cell steel cats.

Do you talking about this? (SS Front exhaust with metallic kat. cod: 981302)

Is there a real difference in hp with modifying of exhaust system without changing stock exhaust manifold?

Do you use stock differential?

I've notice that z4 has the same front lower control arms as BMW e46 (Pt.N. 31 12 6 777 851). Is it possible to use control arms from e46 with sport package (Pt.N. 31 12 2 282 121) for z4? Will I feel a difference?

Thanks a lot!

I don't have a part number here, sorry.
Modification of the exhaust, especialy replacing the cats, will increase torque in midrange revs. We are not allowed to increase the top power, so that stayed the same in our case.

Do you use stock differential?
yes, mandatory by the rules.

I know that the Z4 uses a lot of suspension parts from the E46. In our case, we have a racing suspension and a race setup, so that is very different from the package that you describe. I have no experience with that one.

Did you feel noticable advantage in aerodinamic with OEM rear rear diffuser? With front aero-bumper? With rear spoiler? Or is it just cosmetic Modifications?

P.S.: If I asking too much questions that previously answered or if you have special modifications thread in here please give me a link. I don't speak german and it's very hard for me to search in your forum
Thanx!

Don't worry, no problem to answer questions in English here.

The diffusor and the aero bumper do not make a noticeable difference, however, the rear spoiler does in fast corners at high speed (>150 km/h). There it helps a bit to calm down the car just enough to make you feel better.

We have Electric Power Steering instead of hydraulic one in our cars. Do you have problems with EPS when racing?
When driving on the racetrack and spinning the steering wheel fast in opposite ways I felt some loss of EPS efficiency.

We have to use the stock power steering, we are not allowed to change it. So far no problems with it.

Where are you from, and where do you race your cars?

When I said "we" I mean all of z4 3.0si owners:) And all of us have EPS in stock, so maybe it's just a problem with my own EPS

I'm from Moscow, Russia. I race at the time attack events at the local track

Do you have a photo underneath your car to see full exhaust system?

Do you use stock sway bars? I guess they are too soft for a racetrack?
