Hi Max,

what´s up? You finally made it and bought the units in the US ?
Unfortunately I can not check in my car due to the fact that I sold it already last year. But as far as I remember when I checked for you the harness for the level - control switch, the wiring is assembled at the driver´s side (2001 facelift modell). At the curbside there was no headlight wiring at all. The system cable splits at the driver´s side headlight and leads with the pigtail ends to the curbside headlight.

Do you have the circuit diagrams for the wiring?
If not I can fax you some printouts - just let me know and send me a fax number.

Best regards

Hi Max,
if you let me know what exact type your car is I could look the desired details up in TIS. Hurry up though as I'm leaving for Africa in two days time....

Cheers,

Hi Max,

I´m working for a company subsupplying the automotive industry for busses and trams (optical passenger information). So we produce also a lot of vehicle wiring for our units. For that reason I know that the most popular types of connectors are produced by AMP. AMP is owned by tyco. You should check at tyco.com if you find the mating connectors.
I´m quite sure that the connectors must be water resistant at the location in the car where they are installed at.

If you score at tyco - let your fingers do the walking and call a local dealer to order some mating types.

Let me know on the result.

Ciao
Modo
