now the question

i have just bought a complete M kit (front and rear bumper) after, i have take the Facelifted rear light with the supports.

Now i have a problem, as you sure know the new lights are with led and my light ecu cannot support it.
There is an "how To" for the installation of this light or i have to go in BMW to update my light ecu?
any others have already done this modify?

thanx

Hi Alessandro, welcome to this forum. Nice ride u got :t

Have you lowering springs (H&R, Eibach) or M-Chassis?
I zoomed your picture, are that really 225/40/18 wheels?

They be effective like 19"... Looks very good... :t

hi dear
i don't have eibach lowering springs but i have the original M springs.
yes they are really 225/40/18 the effect is because this wheels are with "monoforo" only one fixing screw and they seems 19"

;)

so another question trainer give me many info but i have to know another info, can i leave my light module and pass the other cable or i have to change it with another of the facelift?

thank :)

Hi Zeddo,

if your lightmodule is black (build 2007 or later), a new software is maybe possible. The lightmodul is grey, you have to change it to an new one.
The cable to the rear light is an add on.

guys i just came back from the BMW
i have ordered the M support from the rear M BUMPER 60 €(thank to the forum :))
and i have answer the price of a new light module, 350 € :(

anyone knows where i can get it with a lower cost? on ebay.de i didn't found anything
there is a guide to do this modify without going in BMW? the BMW's people here in rome are very ignorant....

AW: Hi hall from Rome, now a question! (facelift rear lights)

Hi,

a German - BMW accredited dealer offers the light Modul for 270,--€ (incl. German tax).
In course of business, I think it isn`t allowed to an German BMW dealer shipping to Italy.

The retrofit isn`t very difficult. You can do it by yourself, if you have not two left thumbs :w .
I ask BMW only for the coding of the light modul.
