Hi,
"Hi Peter
Was wondering if you could get some info for me on German BMW forums.
No one in the UK has ever fitted Schrick cams to an S50 engine without taking the vanos out. We have just finished a big project for a customer who requested Schrick 284's without removal of vanos. According to Schrick this is acceptable.
However the car has a big flat spot between 2k-3k RPM. I know cams can make car flatter bottom end but as no one here has done this modification it is difficult to know how the car should behave. Top end is good though!
The car also has a Supersprint decat, Supersprint exhaust and underdriven pulley's along with every other handling/braking item you could think of!
Thanks"
