What`s about the aluminium pedals from the performance series?

Yes, I will do aluminum pedals, but I think the OEM non performance looks better. The M footrest is not possible to order from BMW, so I have to do as I did with my Z4 E85.

Then I have retrofitted a M footrest on my Z:) :-)

There is one problem with retrofitting the original M footrest, it`s not possible to buy for the Z4 E89:( I think it is because the dam footrest is glued to the floor.

So, this is what I did. I bought a F10 M footrest on ebay, the footrest looks the same but the F10 one is wider. So I had to split it to get the shape that would be possible to fit in the Z4&:

So here it goes:

The old one goes... Its really hard work to get it off

The mark shows how much that will have to go

Cutting away the extras from F10

After cutting, a little rough on the edges

So some grinding had to be done to get it all even

I spent 28hours in the weekend detailing my Z4. I will do a own thread later with pics of that. But for now I show the final pics of the car in the used car department at the company I work for:) :-)

The pics show Summer wheels on, New velour floor mats with custom beige leather edges and retrofitted M footrest...

How did you clean the leather?
With a Swissvax leather brush and a product called Green BN. But that product is really hard get, they only sell it to dealers. You can use Swissvax leather cleaner, it is also a great product. Just use the leather brush and a interior cloth to wipe all the dirt off.

This is stunning! Never saw something like that before.

You should ask for a raise of salary as I doubt that someone else could do a better job on it ;-)

Finally I got my facelift indicators :D Will do a write up when the chrome is painted in black/car color :)

Got me a 3D design looking spoiler in carbon :D But it was not a perfect fit, so I had to do some modifications to it :(

The ends of the spoiler was not touching my boot at all, so I had to fill in a bit with a bumper repair kit.

Then I will deliver it to the paint shop tomorrow together with the new FL indicators and my grill :)

Finally I got my parts back from the painter.

-The Lci indicators is painted Maserati grey

-The grill is painted Maserati grey

-The carbon spoiler is painted Black as my car

I glued the spoiler to the boot, just because it gives the best fitment.

The newly painted grill, was gloss black, now it is in Glossy Maserati Grigio Mercury colour:)

Looks very good, gratulation!

I don't like the spoiler, but that's just my opinion, you have to like it ;)

I like the LCI indicators and mine will be painted in silver oxid - just as the covers of the mirrors on the 35is. Yours give me an idea of how it will look like ...
The spoiler is a bit "too much" for me - but as it was already said: your car, your taste!

Tim

nice car, but:
it seems like you are selling cars, the z4 as well.
do you think, you will find anybody paying the price for the car to compensate the money you still put in it?!

I think He´s working fo that company and uses the location as background for the pics - maybe even for working on his car, but because of the plates on the car - i don´t think he´s going to sell it right now.
