Need your help with this as well, when I put the car in reverse you can barely hear the beeping from the parking sensors! is there anywhere in the configuration that this can be adjusted or the sensor/speaker is faulty? does the sound come from a dedicated speaker or through the cars sound system?

thanks in advance

ok, lass es uns versuchen

Wie passt man die Lautstärke der Parksensoren im Auto mit der Navigation an?

i believe few of my sensors are faulty, so that might be the reason as well

Ich glaube, einige meiner Sensoren sind defekt, das könnte auch der Grund sein

I don't see how this would affect the chime volume itself. When one of my sensors died I just got a steady beep for a few seconds followed by silence if I remember correctly.
You can however check your sensors by comparing their clicking volume when you get your ear close to them while reverse is engaged with the ignition on. Faulty sensors are also registered in the PDC units error unit.

By the way, since I missed your second question: the chime is located in the top panel of the driver side footwell, it's the round thing with lots of holes in it. So you could verify if the PDC sound does come from there as it's the default way or if someone already fiddled with the PDC module configuration and managed to get it working through the stereo speakers as the configuration suggests. I doubt this actually works though, but I can test it at some point when I find the time to do it.

thanks for that, got my wife to run her hand by the sensors while I was listening from the inside and some of the sensors don't make any noise when she tried! I don't get any beep at all when I first put the car in reverse :( I will try the footwell speaker that you mentioned, that might be faulty as well! thanks
