Evening all,

Have searched the net but with not much success, my 3rd brake light is loose, is there a guide (preferably with photos) on how to fix this? Any videos?

Thanks in advance 👍🏻

Hi, yes I have repalced it already.

Not created any instructions, the TIS is has all the steps required and it is quite clear.
You have to remove the inside covers of the trunk lid first. Order:
1. the one pointing at the roof of the car, then
2. both sides, and
3. then the one at the the (witch actually covers the 3rd stoplamp.

Then change the third stoplamp. Don't tighten the screws with the springs too much. The red plastic of the stoplamp can break and also cause single LEDs to stop working (mostly the most left and rigth ones).

Building back in reverse order of course. I alread had the trunk covers removed twice - not used any special tools and none of the clips broke and had to be replaced.

@frederi thanks for the info, just saw this after taking the boot trim apart!

Do the new lamp come with springs? My lens light is not broken but not sitting properly and there is a gap! The springs on one side are loose but cannot tighten it at all!

Mh don't remember. When I'm at home I can have a look if the old one still has the springs. But not before tomorrow evening, I'm not at home.

Thanks for checking 👍🏻 I wonder if I change the springs, it might fix the issue?! Might give that a try first

Mh, I think that's unlikely. More likely that one or more of the clips on the stoplamp itself are broken like on my old one. However, I think at mine they broke when I removed it, and weren't already broken before.
