Hi; I'm sorry I don't speak German (I live in Belgium)… I was looking if it was possible to have the M-track mode from the e46 M3 CSL on my Z4M roadster and I found a German topic on this website. M-track seems to require the DSC MK60 module, that is also fitted on the Z4M.

-So is it possible to fit M-track mode and how is it done? Or where can I get it done?
- Is there a big difference between the M-track mode and the normal DSC?

Thanks and sorry for the English ;)

Hi and welcome to the board.

Yes, the track mode can be applied to the Z4M. For I know just one person who does it (LuckyM3). Once applied it's the same like in the M3 and you can choose between track mode and completely disabling the ESP. The track mode is a lot more "dynamic" than the normal DSC and allows much faster driving (and even small drifts) before starting to assist you.

Thanks!
I will contact LuckyM3...
Any idea about the price?
Do you have the M-track mode on your Z4M coupe?

Are there any downsides on the M-track mode? Is the normal DSC (ESP) still available on the car? Do you switch between normal ESP / M-track mode / DSC off.... Is there a visual signal that M-track mode is on?
The M-track mode is originally designed for the faster steering rack of the e46 M3 CSL and e46 M3 with competition pack. The Z4M coupe has the same steering rack as the M3 CSL. Does it also work on the Z4M roadster with the normal e46 M3 steering rack?

Thanks!

Any idea about the price? => Sorry, but I don't remember the exact prize. We had a discount as we met with a lot of cars and he did it for all of us in a few hours. Please ask him directly.
Do you have the M-track mode on your Z4M coupe? => Yes.

Are there any downsides on the M-track mode? => No, as it is an additional function and it works perfectly fine.
Is the normal DSC (ESP) still available on the car? => Yes. If you just leave the DSC-button untouched the normal DSC is active. Push the button shortly to activate the track mode and hold it pressed for few seconds to fully disable DSC.
Do you switch between normal ESP / M-track mode / DSC off.... Is there a visual signal that M-track mode is on? Normal DSC: nothing is shown (normal status on engine start). Track mode: yellow "DSC" is shown. DSC disabled: yellow warning sign is shown.

For technical details you should consult Lucky.

Great... Al my questions are answered ;)

Do you like the M-track mode?

It's helpful on the track under wet conditions.

I can not find LuckyM3 as a member on this site...

As far as I can remember, the price was something about 150€ and it came in a package with some other modifications (double flashing indicators on opening and locking, quick indicators, flashing braking lights at hard breaking and some stuff about the window functioning)..
