Hi!
I`m a Z4 owner from Norway:) :-) I can understand some German, but have a hard time writing it, so I go on English.

I have finally bought me a E89 Z4 after owning two E85s. I picked my 2009 35i up in Germany and drove it back to Norway. It is Black uni with Canberra beige leather.

The Z4 is pretty good equipped, but has not the full list. It has adaptive M-dampers, Sportsseats, Comfort access, Servotronic, 19" 296 wheels, lightpackage, exterior mirrorpackage, black rooflining, bi-xenon and the most important, a manual gearbox.

I testdrove a car with DKG and it was nothing for me, so I`m really happy with my manual. The manual cars was really hard to find in Germany so it took a while to get me a E89.

I have some plans for my new Z4 of course

-M bumper with 35is grills Check
-M rear bumper with 35is diffuser (painted Maserati grey)
-M steeringwheel Check
-M gearknob Check
-M doorsillsCheck
-ESS flash software with 1M torque settings Check
-H&R lowering springs Check
-20" Breyton Race LS Check
-35is exhaust Check
-Delete the rear catalytic converters Check
-BMW X5 35i exhaust tips Check
-LUX V3 angeleyes Check
-Stubby Check
-Coulour the brakes
-Detailing job Check

It will be more than this, this is only a good start :D

Did some detailing on my Z. Have allready painted my bonnet because it had some stone chips, started to wetsand the whole car to a better finish. Since my hood was painted with a lot of clearcoat I could really get a nice finish, the rest of the car was sanded to a ok finish. The only thing not wetsanded was bumpers. I since I will replace them :D

I have also mounted my new 20" Breytons, but it looks like a SUV at the moment  Have ordered H&R springs, so more pics of the wheels when they arrive :D

And then the 35is exhaust was mounted. It sound louder in general, but not too loud. So very happy so far :D Thinking of deleting rear cats for a little raspier soundtrack and approx 10whp. Milltek have straight pipes for doing this :)

Some nice new parts mounted. M-front bumper with 35is silver wings, M steeringwheel, H&R lowering springs, BMW X5 35i exhaust tips and change of leather in the seat.

Then another load of parts was mounted

A stubby antenna, K&N intake filter, M shortshift gearknob, Lux V3 angeleyes and rear decat with straight pipes from Milltek.

After mounting the Milltek I could not only hear but also feel the difference. Using ESS flash and with the exhaust upgrade I felt more power on the top revs.
The sound is awesome also, with popping sound all the time, especially when I shift gears  I think the sound got around 20% louder as well :D

Done a caliper mod as an Christmas gift to my Z :D The colors picked where, Ferrari Scuderia gold wheelcolor (named "Oro") and Maserati grey wheelcolor (named "Grigio Mercury").

As much as possible was taken apart for paint without taking the brake lines off.

To make the gold details also be a part of the rear caliper, I modified the spring of an Z4 23i front caliper and mounted it to my rear caliper

So this was the process:

I have thought about this mod for a while. The idea came after buying me the M-steeringwheel. When it arrived it was without the black panels around the multifunction buttons. So I had to use the silver high gloss panels that was fitted to my old steeringwheel. This looked a little strange because of the 3rd spoke being black. After checking price on these parts (Crazy), I decided to go with a alcantara wrap that look even more nice than the original plastic black panels . The steeringwheel is not finished yet, I have a idea of how I could get the 3rd spoke to look nice :D

This is the pictures so far:

One down, one to go :)

I had to grind the edges down a little to make space for the alcantara

I promised an update when my steering wheel was finished, so here it is :D

I got the last alcantara piece trimmed with beige stitching to match my interior. Also the gear gaiter was custom made in alcantara with beige stitching. So this is now a little different steering wheel that I am very satisfied with :)

Here`s the pics:

This is the original lower spoke of the M steering wheel.

I twisted off the original leather.

Then I glued on the new alcantara piece and then the M badge.

Then I got my instrument cluster back from Germany :) Since there is no E89 Z4m, there is not a M instrument cluster either. So I have now got mine in M colors. They have changed the needles for red ones and mounted leds. So here it is :

After removing some parts last week, I have now sent them to be sprayed in a paintshop. The grills for the M bumper shall be Maserati grey after cutting the mesh away :D Then the front grills will be glossy black with chrome surroundings. The covers for the rollover bars shall be in car colour.

I bought a used rear M bumper with some painting problems. This one is also sent to be resprayed with some brand new 35is diffusers. The smallest diffuser will be Maserati grey as my brake calipers.

I have already done the front parts of the rollover covers in alcantara. Here is two pics that show original vs alcantara.
