With both breakes it's possible to stop the cars in the same short time/way ...

If you have a rattle when you are braking soft like a Smoothie, so you have to learm to brake.
Visit some driver-trainings and you will never ever have some problems with your brake.

First improve the driver, second tune up the car.

1 hour on Monte Carlo roads with an Elise's rabbit, and your brakes are dead! :)
