I'm interested in your experiences with your ESS supercharging mod. Thx.:) :-)

Before I drove the Z to ESS, I got the time to mount my new brakes :)

This is the parts used:

Front:

-Original Bmw Performance calipers
-Original Bmw M3 CSL rotors
-Original Bmw Performance brake pads
-Special made brackets for caliper made to fit Z4

Rear:

-Original Bmw 3.0Si calipers
-PF drilled rotors
-Original brake pads
-Mercedes E-Class caliper covers

Those front performance brake calipers was not a great match to my new paintjob, so I decided to paint them Lamborghini Rosso Mars 3 stage red.
As I kept the original rear caliper, I had to do those as well.

To get a nice finish on the rear caliper, I grinded them smooth, a work from hell:confused:

To give those rear calipers a nicer look, I modificated a Mercedes E-class brake cover:) :-)

After fresh paint, the logo was oversprayed and sealed with some clear coat.

Very nice solution.

What means: "I modificated a Mercedes E-class brake cover"?

Modification = painting?
Mercedes-Partnumber?

I had to cut the tap you see at the picture. And yes, the mod was also painting it.

No, sorry. They still installing it. This kit is manfactured for the E90. So there is a little extra work with piping and some other small differences. They use my car as mole to manufacture the Z4 n52 kit :)

I will update on dynos as fast as I get my car back. Hoping it will be this week..

@BmwZ
really nice project, thanks for sharing!
you don't fear spending money on your cars... holy s...t !

Have u planned any more engine mods e.g. pistons, clutch cooling etc for durability or is the engine ok with sc? I can hardly imagine..

No, the kompressor kit is built to cope with original Internals. The pressure is just 0.35 bar. The Bmw clutches is really good and don't need an upgrade for this low torque kit.

What did they say how many hours they Need for install? Cause the Kit Looks easy to install on Pictures.
I just dont know about the mapping. Hope you stay without any error Motor codes...

Do you have a Performance/ Drift Box? It would be very interesting to see times (100-200km/h) :thumbsup:
