Vehicles Affected: Approximately 4,300 model-year 2019-20 BMW Z4 roadsters and model-year 2020 Toyota Supra coupes
The Problem: The plug that covers the headlamps’ horizontal adjustment mechanism may have been inserted into the space for the vertical plug and vice versa, diminishing visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect the headlamp’s vertical and horizontal adjustment plugs, correcting them as necessary for free.
What Owners Should Do: BMW will begin notifying owners Oct. 19. BMW owners can call the automaker at 800-525-7417 and Toyota owners at 888-270-9371, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or
